I am already in love with smoothies and they are just heavenly good and cool for summers. If you don't have time for heavy fulfilling breakfast these smoothies are just right to sustain you till lunch.
Papayas are best for morning meals and smoothies just before any workouts is perfectly awesome choice for it gives that boost and energy kick. The goodness of this fruit is just right for diabetic people and nutrients content makes it suitable to be labelled as diabetic friendly recipe. You can combine the papayas with any or number of other fruits also to make a twisted change in flavour and texture of smoothie like banana, apple or orange. Here the smoothie is blended plain with skimmed milk alone.I have added cardamom powder to give it little flavour as mine were not very sweet ones.
This is the best use of papayas in case they are not very sweet in taste. Papayas smoothies when blended with milk turns out to be very flowing smooth texture and if prepared without milk looks thick and could be a good option of turning it into Popsicle. Just blend, freeze and done.
Coming to the recipe This is no fuss easy 5 min recipe with no culinary skills required. Just know the ingredients, blend it well and it is ready to gulp.
1 Big papaya
2-3 glass chilled milk
few ice cubes
1 tsp cardamom powder
Sugar 1-2 tbsp if required just in case papayas are not sweet. You can alao use honey.
Peel, discard the seeds and chop the papayas.
Add papayas and few ice cubes to a mixie jar. Churn it down.
Add little milk and sugar if needed to smoothen the churning process.
Add cardamom powder and rest of the milk to blend in well.
