Cornmeal oats semolina cake

This delicious cake I tried sometime back in winters when cornmeal and strawberries were easily available. Nevertheless they are still available in big stores now a days.

I always try to make healthy treats so cakes and pastries with unhealthy ingredients or white refined products are a big No. I dont encourage sweets in my home though all of us have sweet tooth😝. But once in a while a healthy dessert is welcome. Try and see the amazing blend of ingredients used in this cake.


1/2 cup each of oatmeal, cornmeal, semolina n almondmeal.
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp b. soda
1 tsp b. powder
1.25 cup milk
Oil 1 tbsp
Strawberries fresh 4_5

Method for cake

Churn in mixie milk sugar oil n strawberries.
Mix dry ingredients well.
Mix milk mixture with dry ingredients slowly.
Grease baking pan. Sprinkle wheat flour and tap n remove extra.
Pour this batter and bake in oven for 25 mins at 180° ( it was preheated for 10 mins)

Method for pan cake

Batter preparation is same as above. You may add more milk if its not runny. Batter consistency should be like dosa.
Grease the non stick pan with little oil.
Pour the batter .do not spread with spatula. It will spread itself. It has to be thick like uttapam. Cover with lid for 1_2 mins. When bubbles form flip d side n cook.
Pan cake is ready.
Serve with strawberry on top n pour little honey over it.
